Connect a wallet

Connect a wallet, switch to the right network, and what to do if connecting fails.

What is it?

Connecting links a wallet to RealTime Exchange, so the app can show your balances and ask your wallet to sign. Connecting alone moves no funds and costs no gas.

Why would I use it?

You need a connected wallet to receive testnet funds, deposit, trade and see your positions.

What do I need?

How do I connect?

  1. Click Connect Wallet

The button is at the top right of the app.

If you arrived through a referral link, a Welcome to RealTime screen appears first. Press Continue.

  2. Choose how to connect

A sign-in window opens. Choose a method and follow its steps. Closing that window cancels the whole flow.

  3. Switch network if asked

If your wallet is on another network, the app shows Switch Network and Looks like youre connected to an unsupported network. Please switch to a supported network.. Press the switch button (for example "Switch to Arc Testnet") and approve in your wallet. For most wallets the app also adds Arc Testnet to your wallet if it is missing.

  4. Continue to sign-in

The app continues to Enable trading. If your account has no funds yet, it then offers a deposit step.

What should I expect?

  • The header shows your account.
  • If your wallet holds few testnet funds, the app may top it up automatically (Get testnet funds).
  • Until you finish sign-in, trading buttons read Complete Sign In.

What can go wrong?

Wallet connection timed out

Why: Your wallet app did not respond to the connection request.

Fix:

Open or unlock your wallet and try again. For WalletConnect, scan a fresh QR code.

Looks like youre connected to an unsupported network. Please switch to a supported network.

Why: Your wallet is on a network other than Arc Testnet.

Fix:

Use the switch button in the dialog, or switch networks in your wallet yourself. Network details are in Network and contracts.

Access Denied

Why: The service detected that you are connecting from a restricted country or territory.

Fix:

The app cannot be used from your location. See the Terms of Service.

Enter Trading Password appears, or trading buttons read Unlock Trading

Why: This browser holds encrypted credentials for this account, for example from an imported account file.

Fix:

Enter the password to unlock it. If you don't have it, choose Remove Account, which only removes the local copy (your funds and positions are unaffected), then connect and sign in again.

How do I recover?

  • Stuck connection: refresh the page and connect again. Nothing is stored on-chain by connecting.
  • Wrong account connected: if you have already signed in, choose Disconnect in the account menu. Otherwise disconnect this site in your wallet, or switch the active account there. Then reload and connect again.
