Deposit

Fund your trading balance from your wallet — what you need, the steps, what to expect and how to fix a failed deposit.

What is it?

A deposit moves tokens from your wallet into your trading balance on RealTime. Perpetual orders and positions are backed only by deposited funds. A spot order can also draw a shortfall straight from your wallet, as an on-chain transaction.

Assets you can deposit on Arc Testnet: USDC, ETH, BTC.

Why would I use it?

To fund trading. Testnet funds arrive in your wallet, and you deposit them from there.

What do I need?

How do I deposit?

  1. Open Deposit

From the account menu, the Deposit button under the order form (perpetual markets only), or Portfolio.

  2. Choose the asset and amount

Pick the asset and enter an amount, or use MAX or the slider. The dialog shows your wallet balance and your exchange balance.

  3. Approve the token (first time per token)

The button reads Approve WETH... until the exchange may move that token. Confirm the approval in your wallet. The network's native token (USDC) needs no approval.

On Arc Testnet, USDC is the native token, so a USDC deposit has no approval step.
  4. Confirm the deposit

After approval the app continues to the deposit transaction. Confirm it in your wallet.

What should I expect?

  • A Deposit Initiated toast with a transaction link. Deposits are credited once the transaction confirms and the exchange has indexed it.
  • Your balance appears under the order form (Available to Trade) and in Portfolio.
  • Deposits are listed in Portfolio → Deposits and Withdrawals.

What can go wrong?

Transaction cancelled in your wallet. Update the amount or try again.

Why: You rejected the approval or the deposit in your wallet.

Fix:

Start again and confirm both transactions. If you approved but cancelled the deposit, the next attempt skips the approval.

Deposit failed. Please check your wallet and try again.

Why: The transaction failed or reverted on-chain.

Fix:

Open the transaction in the block explorer to see why, then try again.

Not enough USDC to cover the network fee. Add USDC to your wallet, then try again.

Why: Your wallet can't pay the network fee.

Fix:

Get USDC (see Get testnet funds) and try again.

The deposited amount does not show yet

Why: The app is still waiting for the transaction to confirm, or its data is refreshing.

Fix:

Open the transaction link to check it confirmed, then wait a few seconds or reload.

How do I recover?

  • Deposited the wrong asset or amount: withdraw it back to your wallet.
  • Transaction stuck in your wallet: speed it up or cancel it in your wallet, then try again.
